What is a wood crusher?

Wood chipper can process logs, wood, branches with a diameter of less than 55 cm into wood chips with a diameter of 1.5 cm to 3 cm. What is the difference between them?

1. Structure

Wood crushers consist of cutting discs, hammers and screens. After the wood enters the feed port, it is first cut into coarse wood chips by the knife, then broken into fine wood chips by hammers, and finally the uniform-sized wood chips are sent out through the screen.

However, wood chippers only have a cutting disc that roughly cuts the material and then sends it out through the outlet. Chippers do not have hammers or screens, so the product size is much larger.

2. Product

As mentioned above, the particle size of wood sawdust produced by wood crushers can be controlled by screens, and the product particle size varies depending on the screen.

Generally speaking, the production scale of wood chippers is much larger, generally 2-3 kilometers. The production capacity is also always larger.
